Here’s the Reader’s Digest revisionist version (read at your own peril):
Born a long time ago, in a galaxy quite close. As the son of an OSI agent in the Air Force I have lived all over and can kill you in a number of ways (these facts aren’t really related, but sound good together). Grew up playing sports and music. Got an offer to be a published writer in high school - didn’t take it. Got a partial scholarship for pole vaulting - didn’t take it. I was going to be a rock star, so didn’t need those opportunities - however, I am going to invent a time machine so I can go back and kick my own ass for being so stupid.
Went into the Air Force as a Flight Sim tech on the F-16 and B-52 weapons systems (yet two more ways to kill you) which culminated in affording me the priviledge of running the 56th TTW F-16 training facility at MacDill. That was a long time ago, so torturing me for information will only get you technical secrets that are incorporated into any X-box or PS2. All the while I played in bands until I finally went back to school and majored in something practical and in demand - film. Much to my surprise, Hollywood wasn’t knocking down my doors and demanding that I make epics - their loss. So, I went to work at Home Shopping Network and eventually became a Supervising Producer.
HSN and I parted on good terms (I ocasionally still do work for them) and I put more effort into the production company I had started in order to make a little extra money - and more importantly - I began to put myself out as a DP, which I had been working toward for a number of years as well (along with my life-long love of songwriting). So, should the fates decree, those in need of my services will discover my abounding skill, incredible eye, and uncompromising work ethic, then come to realize that they have truly uncovered a hitherto unknown cinematic talent - and hire me. Creating pretty pictures and makng the world a better place is so much more preferable for all invovled than having to put my killing skills to work (mostly for me as I really don’t want to see anyone get hurt, especially myself, which is highly probable ;-)
My wife would also like me to mention that I have a truly wonderful wife (which she is) and two incredible daughters (which they are) who mean the world to me - you can see them in my photography reel. And a kick-ass brother (who is making this web-site for me). My other brother is kick-ass too - OK, not so kick-ass, but a good guitarist.
